Craft Fair in Kaz!

Sunday Craft Show in Almaty
Shopping, shopping, shopping! Here we were buying Kazakh Christmas stockings for our family- total of FIVE!!!! :)
Here I am very intent on the purchase of authentic, handmade Kaz baby shoes- they are adorable! I bought two pair.
This is Jackie, our friend. She told us about this Craft show and we saved a ton of money on souvenirs today. She acted as our translator as well. :)  Kaz money is called Tenge and 1000 tenge equals like 9.00 dollars. So its funny when something totals 2,000 tenge- it sounds sooo expensive! :)

Thank you all for your comments on the blog. It is such a sweet thing to read. We love you! We miss you!

Love,
greta
PS Our email is working fine too. We would love hear from you!

I loved the shopping experience too and all the neat things we were able to bring back to folks at home and for Lana.

Ha, I am NOT surprised that you would find the first bargain shopping place to go to! Sounds like flea market heaven! Sorry I missed your call this morning but the voice quality was better than here. Are you having difficulty with the current orphanage and having to go to another one? I can't wait to hear from you both tomorrow. Your worship experience sounds like heaven on earth! Awesome! I love you both, take care, Mom

Greta, will you ask Jackie if the stockings are sold all year long? I have a Kazakh nativity yurt, but I would love to get stockings. If you can't find a nativity yurt, I have the website for you for later. They are like $20 US dollars. It sounds like God is just providing some wonderful experiences for you in the midst of the very difficult. I am so happy for you that God has met you in such a huge way. Without support, this would be so much harder for you. I can't wait for the next update!!!! I'm so excited to meet little Selah!!!!!! I'm praying for you.
Love ya, Jenn
