It is Snowing!

This picture is the view from our apartment window this morning- and YES that is SNOW! So pretty!

Well, today is the first day that we have had access to our computer. And I feel that I have alot to say, but I need to keep it short.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to meet our child yet. :( We are having difficulties with some things and we are hoping to have some answers cleared up on Monday. Please keep up the praying, my prayer warriors! They have been working!  Trust me, as soon as we meet our child, I will be getting access to a computer- no matter what- to post pics for you all! I am as anxious as you all, trust me! :)

I have to tell you all the BEST thing that has happened to us so far- it is called Jackie and Clint- American Family that lives here in Kaz. A friend that adopted here last year put us in contact with them and I can't even begin to describe what an amazing blessing it has been. I keep joking with Jackie saying that she is not real, a figment of our imagination, an angel from God, etc... Because she just swooped in and has taken us under her wing. The first day we got here, she made a home cooked meal and brought it to us in our apartment, with staple groceries in hand, and has driven us to get our money exchanged, grocery store, etc... And right now, we are at their house for "church" with other American families. We are having dinner together, praising God, and will play games later. We are continually thanking our Lord for answering all of our prayers. Jackie and Clint have been nothing but a GOD THING!!! Our flight was so smooth- another GOD THING!!!! We are praising Him for His goodness, His protection, and His faithfulness!

On another note, we are learning yet again to praise Him even when its tough. Right now, its tough, but we will praise Him. I was reading a couple of days ago in the book of Job the first few chapters. Job is the King of "tough times". Yet, he continued to praise God even though he lost his children, his wife and his job!! Satan thought that he would do what he could to get Job to curse the Lord. God told Satan that he could do anything but harm him personally. Satan did and Job remained faithful to God. Friday night after a long and exhausting day emotionally, Shane and I surrendered this to God and chose to remain faithful no matter what. We have chosen to praise Him, no matter what! We praise Him because there is SOOO much to be thankful for.

Please know that we miss you all and we covet your prayers. We are soooo thankful for the prayers that have already gone out. They have truly been OBVIOUSLY answered!!!!!

Love,
greta

I'm so glad you met & have friends in Almaty, we stayed with a missionary for 3 weeks last year while we were adopting Gunnar, it SO nice! How wonderful the she brought you food & that you get to go church, I have to ask if its the "club" church, I forget what the name is of the nightclub that the people use for their church on Sundays. It brought home to us that no matter where we are gathered we can worship God, He doesn't care what the building is.
I hope you will find your daughter soon, may God give you peace during this time. I will be praying for you guys.
Ok, I have to ask, :) where is your apartment? And is your incountry staff by chance,
Aigul(main person), Aylia, Anastasia & Alica? We had them & I not kidding if you have Aigul...she will get the job done. I saw her maybe 3 times in my 7wk stay, she works really hard for families. Can't wait to hear more!

Greta, since you will always be my baby, and being your mom, I was getting a little bit worried since we hadn't heard from you all yet and that your computer would be up and/or be able to call. I know you guys will do just fabulous and God WILL provide your needs and comfort you both in all things. I love you, and miss you sooooo much. Enjoy the culture while your there. Love, Mom

Sis and Bro,
it is soo good to hear from you guys! I miss you already... but I miss Seth and Gage more :( Sorry. I had a dream about you guys last night. It was interesting... you came back from Kaz after 1 week because you missed us all too much and you built a giant water park around your house. I'm not making this up. So... if you ever feel like your house is "un-done", "unfinished", or incomplete... I think you should trust me in the fact that your house looks amazing with giant water slides all around it. Seriously.. I've seen it myself. Well... just thought I would share that nice little story with you crazy cats. I love and miss you guys a TON! I can't wait to see pictures of my fave niece! I'm sure she's gonna look JUST like me... Love you guys!
