And here is the Tea Set for Ms. Selah!
Well, we went to the Green Market today and it was COLD!!!! But, I was able to get two things for Selah that I have been wanting for her. One is pictured here....its a 6 pc tea set with the saucers. I wanted to buy it from her birth country. This will be the only blue thing she will have, but the blue was so pretty. :) I can already imagine having tea with my little princess when she is three. :) The other item is a Kazakh handmade purse. These are gifts she will get on her birthdays throughout the years. :) (Thank you Shanna Ginn!!!!!)
Ok, we didn't have our camera at the Green Market and we were kicking ourselves because we wanted to take a picture of the Meat Department. The Meat Dept is literally slabs of meat just laying/hanging around. It was the most disgusting thing. I got a sick feeling to my stomach! That is probably where the meat we eat is from! Yuck!
We got a taxi back ( we have become professionals at the taxi stuff) and started to walk towards a restaurant we had heard about.....long story short, we got lost and we were freezing! We called some friends and they helped us out! We ended up at a great little Italian place called Mamamia.....it was SO good!
We went to Home Church and we are now about to play a game and eat dessert- gotta run!
We are trying to keep ourselves busy these next two days while we are here- it helps the feelings of homesickness! We thought and talked about Selah ALL day today. We miss her SO much already!
Love,
greta

Your apartment looks like Judson and Kristi's! Granted we were there once and they had lots of suitcases all over the place but it does look the same. :)
Glad you had fun at the Green Market, the meat department was nasty!!!!
What an absolutely lovely tea set and nice apartment. I know you must miss your boys and daughter so much. We are praying for you and are longing for the day yo are all together.

That tea is SO pretty!! Makes me want to have a little to play with. :) yup, you know most of the meat we all ate came from the Green Market, I agree it was really gross to see all that.
I love reading your blog.... It's like reading a great book. We are praying for your safe journey home and for time to pass quickly so you can bring your baby girl home.
We miss you guys. You have a lot to catch up on here. You are aunt and uncle to Nathan's baby boy. He is absolutely gorgeous! You will be in love when you see him. Try to meet up with Christian in North Carolina when he's up there the same time you all come back. Love you, MOM
I love the tea set, what a great idea!!! I'm so sad for you that you have to leave your sweet one for a while, but excited that you get to see and love on your little men. Any news on when you get to go back? Have a wonderful trip home. I'll be praying for safe travels. Love ya, Jenn
I love your blog, I have been keeping up with it until this last week. We have prepared for and are having our last Christmas presentation tonight at our church. Today between church and church I was finally able to catch up. I love reading about Selah and her country and the memorable experiences you two are having in Kaz. However I was so glad that I didn't miss seeing the pictures of my new great niece. Also very thankful that Great Grandma Jean was able to see her too! She is such a beautiful doll. We can't wait to see her but I hope that you will be able to share your first and second homecoming on this blog too! As I know that her brothers Aunts, Uncles and her Grandmas and Grandpas are so excited.
Love you all,
Laurie
