The bummer news of the day is that we have to be more careful with our blog. We will not be able to post pics of her. :( I am so sad about this. But, we have been advised that it is dangerous to do this right now and we will not take any risk of loosing our Selah! I know you all will understand, but its harder on me because I want to SHOW HER OFF! :)
The good news of the day is our visit with her! She started off very sad. We didn't know why. I started to get sad too because I was thinking maybe she doesn't like us any more. lol However, an entirely different child came out when I fed her today. She started to make noises, smile, and the BEST part was she started to play with my hair and explore my face. You don't understand- normally, if you try to touch her hand she will pull it away. She finally is opening up. Every day is truly a new day marked with progress!!!!! :)
Beth and David- Congrats on BABY CARTER!!!! He is gorgeous. Thanks for the pics!
We miss you all.
We are coming home earlier than thought. We will be in the US around the 15-16th. We will be home for Seth's b-day AND Christmas! Its bittersweet though!
Love you!

totally understand about the pictures, we did the same with Gunnar, you just can't be too careful. How great to see that she is becoming "herself", its always so awesome to know they are bonding.
This is totally understandable. Don't apologize for what is wise. Know that for your family, you should be able to email them pictures, but it is wise to not put them on the blog.
Glad that after eating, Selah was more herself for you. That is fun. I am glad I got a glimpse of her and I see why you are in love.
How nice for your sons that you will be home for birthday and Çhristmas, but understand why it would be hard to leave Selah too.

So sad that you can't post picturs, but completely understandable. I'm so excited for you that she is opening up. How fun for her to be playing with your hair and making eye contact with you. I think sometimes that is every adoptive parents fear that they won't bond with us. I can't tell you how happy I am and so thankful to our Father at His amazing provision for you.
I told my small group your story and they were just amazed that you knew instantly that she was yours. I can't wait to have this experience myself! I love you girl, and I'm praying for you!! Jenn
Does your return mean that you will get to go back there sooner than expected and maybe Selah will be here sooner too???
I know the time away from her will be reeeeeeealy hard, but God will be her daddy (just as He has always been) while you and Shane are away.
I can't wait to give you a big hug! I'm such a dork...I check the blog constantly for an update :)
Love you!
Jamie
Hey Jamie, You are not a dork...unless I am, too. I check the blog for updates all day, too. Greta, are you able to email? Call or email me about what's happening. I love you, MOM
